In Switzerland, liposuction, also known as liposuction and liposculpture, is one of the most frequently performed aesthetic treatments. Fat suction is the most effective way to remove unwanted grease pads and form an appealing body silhouette.
Places where fat pads particularly like to accumulate are abdomen, thighs, knees, hips, waist, back, and the male breast. Normal-weight persons also suffer from fatigue deposits that are not due to diets or athletic activities. Since the number of fetal cells is already determined during childhood, sports and diets help to reduce the volume of fetal cells; But they do not completely eliminate them. This is achieved only by liposuction - targeted, fast, practically pain-free and permanently. The fat cells are destroyed during this process and the fat mass is permanently removed. The good thing is that you can achieve lasting results with a unique liposuction. The destroyed fetal cells can not form anew. Please note: A liposuction is very useful for aesthetic body shaping and will bring you closer to your individual ideal figure. But fat extraction is not suitable for weight reduction. The best results are obtained with normal-weight persons with elastic skin. A possible skin excess can be eliminated in a combined treatment by means of skin tightening.

Stay with a liposuction
In most cases, liposuction is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. This is why you can return home on the same day and resume your usual activities after liposuction.
Anesthesia for liposuction
Basically, the procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia - that means without anesthesia, but still without pain. Local anesthesia is more gentle than a general anesthesia, and you can communicate during the procedure with the doctor and, for example, make you aware of any discomfort.
The procedure for liposuction on belly and other body sites
In plastic-aesthetic surgery, there are two popular liposuction techniques: classical liposuction and tumescent liposuction. The one to two-hour surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. The surgeon first injects an infiltration solution under the skin tissue (subcutaneous) in the relevant body region. After the anesthesia begins, it assumes a small incision of 3 to 5 millimeters. Through this incision, a flexible, vibrating micro-suction cannula is introduced for liposuction. The tumescent technique is extremely gentle for the patient and in combination with vibration is considered the most effective liposculpture method.
To speed up the process of liposuction, you should wear a compression trouser or body around the clock the next week. Normal physical activities also accelerate the adaptation of the skin after liposuction. The punctures are healed after about 10 days and barely visible.

Useful information about liposuction at a glance
Liposuction is the most frequently performed aesthetic procedure in Switzerland and has now changed from a taboo subject to a society-compatible measure.
Liposuction is a long-term treatment which is safe if the procedure is correct.
Liposuction is primarily used for body shaping and not for weight reduction.
The most modern vibrating and flexible microcannoses are used for fat suction.
If the elasticity of the skin is insufficient (for example after a strong weight reduction), a single fat suction is no longer sufficient. In this case, excess skin tissue and adipose tissue must be removed using so-called dermolipectomies tummy tuck, thigh tightening or upper arm tightening.
After a liposculpture you can immediately go back to your usual activities. Special care is not required.
Until the final result of a liposuction is present, it can take up to 6 months.
Liposuction can significantly increase wellbeing and self-esteem.
